A practitioner constructs the four-pillar chart from the birth date and time, identifying the ten-year luck pillars and annual influences that interact with the natal chart over a lifetime. They assess the balance and flow of the five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, water) within the chart and read the patterns of the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches to describe temperament, relational dynamics, and periods of challenge or opportunity.
